Seriously, I mean the Italians have had one, the Persians, the Mongolians, the Germans, even the FRENCH have had one. And of course so have the British. Which included your country I hasten to add.
Still you go on and on acting like you’re the best country in the world why? You keep bragging about things you didn’t even do, I apologise if you don’t agree with all these points but there the most common and most recent fallacies I’ve heard you country folk claim.

Benjamin Franklin discovered Electricity – No it was the Germans he just discovered lightning consist of electricity.

America is the most economically sound country – No currently the pound is stronger than the dollar and the euro is stronger than both.

You never lost a war – well I could be pedantic and point out you lost the American civil war, but I wouldn’t call Vietnam or Korea a win. And yes you did win the war of independence against us and even though it’s a national holiday most Americans still don’t know the date. England on the other hand hasn’t been successfully invaded since 1066 and Scotland has never been invaded. And where the size of California.

You saved us in ww2 – by sheer numbers we were winning before you came along, if any countries saved us it was the Germans for spending half their money looking for paranormal weapons and for annoying Russia. Or the Russians for helping us. Additionally what’s wrong with being German there a fine country doing well for themselves. Additionally as per most wars the friendly fire rate sky rocketed after you got involved.

Stephen Hawking is American – no he’s English and was born in Oxford. And while I’m on the subject he has personal thanked the NHS for saving his life. There is nothing wrong with the NHS.

Hugh Laurie (house) is American – No damn it ill admit Hollywood is Damn good but he is ours its just damn fine acting.

You invented the electric telephone – Alexander Graham bell was Scottish

You have the largest continent – No Europe is bigger

You invented the computer – No it was Brittan

You discovered America – No Columbus was English who got money from Spain and the Vikings found it before him

You have the best trained army – If that is the case then why are they trained by British soldiers. Think it through

You have the best education system in the world – then why do you have such a high illiteratecy rate.

NFL is the toughest sport – have you watched rugby. No pads, shorter tackles, bigger players, more tackles per game and more skill to tackle. With players most of whom have a degree from university.

Nascar is good – The cars can only turn one way and you have to have slopped corners to stop you having to slow you down try watching F1 much more skill.

You have a long history – 200 years is not long, see my comment above about 1066.

You claim to be land of the free – you cant drink below the age of 21, sex is 18 and your entire country is built on Christian foundations. Nothing bad about that but how is that free.

You’re the leading manufacturer of technology – that would be Japan.

You invented the atomic bomb – only one scientist on project Manhattan was American the rest were British and German.

That your good arguers – check out my last question at least we can argue with out resorting to ad hominem.

And my personal favourite you were the first country to land on planet moon – NO. NO NO NO, the moon is not a planet its the moon that’s why its called THE MOON.

This is just a short list. So with all that in mind why do you keep claiming to be such a great country.

A muscular korean guy in high school about 5′8” that likes white girls and wears affliction, ralph lauren, and lacoste with matching shoes, nice aviator shades, and drives a car like this:

I am a nice guy and I care about family and friends and serious about my sport. I am good at golf… I was ranked #1 sophomore in my state. I would treat a girl that I like with care. I wont be mean to them, unless they did something terribly wrong. I find white girls more attractive than asians to be honest, especially italians…mmm. And im not a jerk. I like to go out and have a good time with friends. I dont mean to be so self conscious or a show off, but I want to appreciate what I look like and be happy of what I have. Im just curious of what other people think about this.

What would you parents say, considering that im asian?

Well, Red Bull boss Christian Horner and I are in total agreement, what I was saying all along during the FIA-FOTA war:

"For Formula One to lose a name, and the biggest car manufacturer in the world in Toyota, is disappointing.
But it shows Formula One should not be reliant on manufacturers."

Ferrari though as usual are in their own world:
"Formula 1 continues to lose major players: in the past twelve months, Honda, BMW, Bridgestone and Toyota have announced they are leaving the sport.
The reality is that this gradual defection from the F1 fold has more to do with a war waged against the major car manufacturers by those who managed Formula 1 over the past few years, than the result of any economic crisis."

The way I see it FIA went head to head with the manufacturers because it was THEY who were always looking to get an advantage by spending big bucks.
And they have all pulled out through a decision by the boards for COST CUTTING based on GLOBAL ECONOMIC RECESSION.
So WTF are those otherwise likable Italians mumbling about now???

These are some stereotypes that I think we all need to get rid of. Sadly, people believe this on so many different levels it is disheartening.

Whites:

No white people have culture, are bigots, and only speak English (well, I am Sicilian and Irish, and both cultures didn’t/don’t originally speak English). Irish people used to speak Gaelic and Italians speak Italian. Also, we are not all racist..It depends on how you are individually raised.

Hispanics/Latinos:

The stereotype that Latinos hate all white and black people and anyone with a light complexion is automatically a Gringo/Gringa with no way to relate to them (Italians are not that much different from them and my gf is Mexican and Armenian. We are all different complexions and we get along just fine. Her family is very loving and caring, and they don’t hate white people, let alone black people as well).

African-American/Blacks:

The stereotype that all blacks whine about slavery and it was over 100 years ago so get over it. They take up the jail system and steal from whites. Also, that blacks are taking all white sports.
(I have had a lot of black friends, they are not in prison, and they are not good at sports, let alone wanting to steal sports from middle-america). And, with slavery, 100-200 years is not a long time to get over something. The Jews have been going through persecution for over a thousand years and it keeps going. Things hopefully will heal in time, but you can not tell someone to take away a dark part of your history.

Asian/Pacific Islander:

Who are we to say that they are bad drivers? Doesn’t it depend on the person?
(I know a Chinese guy and he drives off-roading in ATVs for a living, restores cars, tricks out Asian made cars, and rides motorcycles…he is possibly the best driver I have ever seen, especially now that he is racing on a more professional level to get money).

Any other cultures feel free to put a stereotype you don’t like and talk about it.

This was not meant to promote bias in any way, I am just showing some things we all tend to believe and that may not be right.

Any thoughts and/or opinions?

My family immigrated from Italy. They did not know the language, but they took the time to learn it well. They speak Italian at home, but outside they always speak English.

Furthermore, they work hard and they love the USA. They don’t go to sporting events and waive the Italian flag, or put an Italian symbol on their car.

That’s the difference when the Italians and Jews immigrated to America. They left their countries to become Americans. I don’t see that from Illegals from Mexico. They want to bring their culture here… with no desire to assimilate.
